Recently a business in the area was forced to close because of these tough economic times and with out hesitation we took on six events within sixty days. The side note to that was that those couples paid their deposits & more so we catered those weddings less the deposits and at prices more fitting a local restaurant than an off-premise caterer. This was because "It was the right thing to do"
Today we received a thank you that was moving. It was from the mother of the bride of a wedding on August 6, 2010. We catered her daughters wedding within a few hours notice when the caterer they had failed to show. Here is a brief except from that letter:
"I could go on about the food, the elegant arrangements and the professionalism exhibited by your employees-all these components were present. However, my letter goes to something more amazing than a job well done. what Gene and his people brought to this near disaster can only be described as astonishing."
Whether it be a recent Red Cross Blood Drive held here or sitting on area Chambers of Commerce and Charities the Drexelbrook team believes that being part of a community is a way to make a difference in our world. From toy drives to helping prepare meals for the needy we keep seeking ways to make a difference. our active recycling program helps the environment and our dedication to supporting other area businesses supports the economy and small businesses.
In July we catered the NACE BBQ, In September we are hosting a SWP event and sponsoring both an ISES meeting and the opening of Soiree Philadelphia. Yes, one can say that this is marketing but it truly stems from being part of a community.
Whether that is the neighborhood, Region, County, or Business Community we believe that there is no better way to help than to get involved.
