The Chestnut Club at the old Arcadia Theatre is one of Philadelphia's most unique venues.It opened on April 24th 1915 with a showing of "The High Road" with prices ranging of 15 to 25 cents per ticket. The Philadelphia Inquirer on that date touted is as having an air-conditioning system and modern design. Since then the space has fast food restaurant and woman's fashion store before being revitalized as an incredible venue.
The Chestnut Club is an interesting and magical Center City Philadelphia venue for small to large social and corporate events, from weddings to meetings. The private loft-like event space has many rich details, including exposed brick walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, soft halogen lighting, elegant silk draping, high coffer ceilings and a grand piano.
