Women in Weddings February Event

Although ice and snow forced a change from the February 1st date, the Wedding Pavilion was cozy and warm on the 10th of February, as Drexelbrook Catering teamed up with the Vancleve Collection, the Wedding Pavilion and other wonderful vendors to present our third "Women In Weddings" networking event.
Drexelbrook Catering is proud to support women empowering women and our hostess for this evening is one of the great success stories on women entrepreneurship. Deborah Vancleve Phelps has created the premier Bridal and Fashion mecca in the region.

The "Women In Weddings" events are a networking event series for woman wedding professionals. They are designed as relaxing and comfortable evening to build business relationships, develop new contacts and enjoy food, fashion and friends. They are free events sponsored by Drexelbrook Catering and are held as various locations in the region.
The February event was an evening built around fashion. Bridal gowns were the focus at the Wedding Pavilion but the event also showcased Bridesmaid dresses and just a few steps away in The VanCleve Collection store was a complete selection of amazing mother of bride, and special occasion dresses, shoes, jewelry and fashions. If you need some special to wear for any occasion you can find it at the Vancleve Collection. This event also featured some incredible taste treats including champagne cupcakes from the incredible Maki Evans at Cupcakes Gourmet. Other incredible tastes were provided by David at Doughmain Bakery and the culinary team at Drexelbrook Catering as well as champagne and wine selected by Franks Union Wine Mart and provided by Drexelbrook Catering.

The evening also included black and white styled portraits from Jean Valetin Photography who had on display his incredible new custom style and artistry portraits. This is a new style and service that must be seen to be appreciated. Jean is another preferred Drexelbrook Catering partner that produces incredible art through a camera lens.  The rooms were accented in incredible floral by Cottage Flowers. We truly love the incredible work of this Malvern based florist. Also on hand was wonderful music and A/V provided by Synergetic Sounds who also had onsite some wonder "Men of Synergetic Sounds" Calendars that help raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House. It was a true joy to see Becky from Synergetic Sounds sell so many calendars. The evening was themed on Love, Chocolate and Champagne in focus with the upcoming Royal Wedding and there was no better location to showcase  a Single Source Chocolate Mousse, Grilled Chicken with a Champagne Buerre Blanc, incredible Wedding Cakes and delicious Champagne Cupcakes then at The Wedding Pavilion.

Also on site for the evening was Hadas Kuznits from KYW who was there for some late night Bridal gown shopping for her upcoming July Wedding.  It only goes to show that people who know go to Vancleve.  Rebecca Druckenmiller from The QOH Weddings was there to discuss how people can support "Wish Upon A Wedding Philadelphia" Rebecca was the inspiration behind the "Women in Weddings" idea and also the reason for the submission of recipes which now form the first "Women in Weddings" Cookbook which is available for free by emailing Gene Blum. Also on hand was Joani and Kim from VIP Wedding Magazine who explained how planners supporting "Women in weddings" can get a free webpage listing on http://www.philadelphiaweddings.com/
